About us

Swissminiatur, a miniature jewel nestled in Melide in the heart of Ticino, invites you on a one-hour journey through Switzerland, set in an enchanting setting between lake and mountains. This unique open-air museum covers 14,000 m² and features over 130 models faithfully reproduced at 1:25 scale, representing the country's most emblematic landmarks such as the Federal Palace in Berne, the castles of Chillon and Bellinzona, and the Piazza Grande in Locarno.

Beyond the architectural aspect, Swissminiatur is a veritable living garden, adorned with over 15,000 flowers and 1,500 trees, where 18 miniature trains run on a 3,560-metre network of tracks, accompanied by boats, cable cars and animated funiculars.
